What is the North Cape Challenge??

The North Cape Challenge is a 7,000 kilometer car journey to the northernmost tip of Europe. We are riding this tour (together with 30 other teams) for charity. Our charity is Goodwill, an organization that is committed to relaxation and emotion processing in children with disabilities and people with dementia.

Since 2004, the organization behind the North Cape Challenge has been organizing the best road trips to the most beautiful places in the world. In 2011, they completed the first North Cape Challenge. A bizarrely beautiful road trip to the northernmost point of Europe, with highlights along the way such as the magical Northern Lights, the North Cape Globe, husky dog rides, Santa Claus and more!”
Along the way, as a team, we complete assignments to raise money for charity. All this in December, just before Christmas. The North Cape Challenge lasts 13 days. On December 20 we will be back home with our loved ones!

So we are going to ride for the organization Goodwill, of which Gerda Havertong is ambassador. This wonderful organization contributes to relaxation and emotion processing in children with disabilities and people with dementia. They add a little color to care, in these often difficult times for emergency workers and informal caregivers. have been doing this for over 25 years!

We are going to drive for this as a team 121: TRAILHUNTERS in a 2005 Jeep grand Cherokee. The car has a 5.7 liter V8 Hemi. The car is equipped with flood lights front and rear and a winch at the front.

The first Meet and Greet took place on October 28 with all participants. We now have the official North Cape stickers on the car and have been briefed on the precise route.

In addition, we have already met a number of cool members of other teams.

That was also the starting signal for us to start our sponsorship campaign.

The intention is to fill our car completely with stickers from companies (and private individuals). We are going to ask all our customers to make a contribution via the website of the North Cape Challenge. For every deposit of €250, the customer receives their logo in A3 format on the car, for every malfunction of €150 or more one in A4 format.

DG-360° and ASF, in collaboration with a sponsor, pay the costs of the stickers and the placement of the stickers on the car.

We have more than achieved our target amount! We thank our sponsors for their generous contribution to the Goodwill organization.

Track & Trace us!

Important and practical in case of emergencies on the road and to be visible.

This way we are visible to the home front, the organization and to our sponsors during the challenge. We work together with NKC Track & Trace. Our team is linked to a unique tracker. On the start day, a map of all teams will go live on the website www.noordkaapchallenge.com and via our own website.

Our car can be found on this map with additional data such as speed, distance and temperature. The latter based on meteorological data near our position. The position of the car is determined every 5 minutes and shown on the map. The data is sent via the mobile network.

If we are out of range for a while (and that is bound to happen!) the data is buffered and transferred as soon as we are near a transmission tower again.
